Are you a morning person or night? People who have a habit of waking up early morning know how beneficial it is. It is not only good for your health but also for your mind.
A lazy morning will lead to a lousy day. Whereas, if you start your mornings early and worthy, you will feel energized the whole day. Moreover, you will realize that your productivity has been increased.
Here are four things you should do every morning to make your days better.
1. Drink water
Do you take enough water in your day to day life? It is said at least 6 glass of water is necessary to lead a healthy life. Moreover, staying hydrated is good for your overall health.
The first thing in the morning should be to drink a glass of water. It helps your body to remain hydrated after long hours without water during sleep.
Not drinking an adequate amount of water makes it harder to cope up with everyday issues and an increase in stress levels.
Moreover, drinking a glass of warm water in the morning helps in weight loss, digestion, blood circulation, healthy skin, and decreasing stress levels.
We already know the benefits of meditating so, I will skip that part and would directly shift the focus on what and how to do it.
There are many guided meditations available on YouTube and various applications. Also, according to my experience individual meditation is way better and beneficial.
In guided meditation, we try hard to focus on the voice we hear and turn our thoughts as per the guide, which later becomes exhausting.
It is better to let your thoughts flow naturally and just concentrate on your breathing. It is as simple as that!! Just find a comfortable place to sit upright, close your eyes, and focus on deep breathing.
At first, you may have a lot of thoughts coming, don’t try too hard on ignoring them, just bring your focus back to breathing. This will refresh your mind and calm your mind for the tedious day ahead.
For an energized day ahead exercising in the morning is the best. It may be taking a walk, running, simple stretching exercises, or yoga.
Thirty minutes of exercise daily will give you various physical and mental benefits. Is it not better to exercise than to take medicines?
Even a physical activity for 10 minutes is proven to be beneficial for the mind and body. Exercising is known to reduce fatigue, body aches, reduce weight, protect the skin, and also improves eating habits which eventually helps in reducing stress.
4. Plan your day
To make your day productive, it is better to plan it before you start with your day. Writing your goals for the day will help you keep a check and remind you to complete the goals.
Every day we think of hundred of things to do but how many do we do? However, what percent of work we do is worth it for the day?
Writing has a psychological effect and is proven to be more productive. Just jot down what you need to do today to reach your short-term and long terms goals.
Tick mark the tasks you have completed and then work upon the next. This will keep you motivated and enthusiastic.
